Memorandum of Association & Rules & Regulations Society to Aid the Hearing Impaired (SAHI)

Mission Statement:

“To strive towards providing all hearing impaired children the right to develop their ability to listen and speak and the opportunity to have access to the basic services and facilities which will enable them to do so.”

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

• To provide aid to hearing handicapped children for their treatment.
  
  
• To provide hearing aids to improve hearing ability.
  
  
• To provide medical and surgical aid to clear (partially or totally) the hearing disability.
  
  
• To provide speech therapy facilities to improve speech after the treatment.
  
  
• To conduct periodical check-up programmes for the benefit of children belonging to poor socio-economic community.
  
  
• To organize periodic awareness programmes to general public, school children and school teachers.
  
  
• To organize CME (Continuing Medical Education) programmes to medical colleagues.
  
  
• To conduct scientific work-shops and conferences on cochlear implantations and other related procedures.
  
  
• To promote develop and improve scientific exchange of knowledge as well as technical co-operation with similar institutions.
  
  
• To undertake scientific research in hearing related disorders.
  
  
• To acquire state of the art equipments, drugs, scientific journals, books and other useful material.
  
  
• To meet the cost of publications and reprints of articles for academic and scientific purpose of the foundation.
  
  
• To provide travel grant, conveyance allowances to be related scientific and social activities.
  
  
• To tie-up with other Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations to improve public awareness and to minimize the social abuse to the children suffering from hearing problems.
  
  
• To exchange the latest developments in the field with various deaf and dumb schools and other related organizations.
  
  
• To import required instruments and equipments directly from the manufacturers.
  
  
• To raise funds to help the children for their treatment from all possible and available sources.
  
  
• To organize programmes with celebrities to raise funds.
  
  
• To conduct any other activities to better the public awareness and to help these children medically, socially and financially.
  
  
• To approach Govt. agencies for allotment of land to construct buildings for research, treatment and any other activities related to the benefit of the hearing impaired children.
  
  
• To open multiple clinics across the state to treat hearing impaired children.
  
  
• To maintain self sufficiency, the Society (SAHI) may charge people who can pay to meet the expenses of the treatment. Society (SAHI) will continue to give the free treatment to the poor people under BPL.

Certification

1. “Certified that the association is formed with no profit motive and no commercial activities involved in the working.”
   
   
2. Certified that the bearers are not paid from the funds of the association.
   
   
3. Certified that the association will not engage in agitation activities to ventilate grievances.
   
   
4. Certified that the office bearers signatures of the members of the General Body are genuine.

Declaration

We the undersigned persons in the memo have formed into an association and responsible to run the affairs of the association and are desirous of getting the Society (SAHI) registered under public sector registration act 1350 fasli.
