Camp at Kollur,Mahabubnagar Dist.

SAHI conducted a medical  camp in association with Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi of Mahabubnagar on 4th Feb 2007  in Kollur village, Nawabpet mandal, Mahabubnagar district as part of the ‘Deaf Free Mandal’ project. Team consisting of 4 ENT doctors and 5 Audiologists screened  patients.

Camp at Bellary, Karnataka.

SAHI conducted a medical camp in Smt. Rukmanamma Home for Senior Citizens at Bellary sponsored by Vishwabharathi Kalaniketan & Educational Society, Bellary  which is run by Mr. Janardhan G, MLC of Karnataka state. SAHI Team consisting of 6 ENT doctors, 8 Audiologists, 3 Technicians and 7 volunteer members participated in the camp . The camp was for two days i.e. on 10th   & 11th Feb. Screening of patients followed by distribution of hearing aids and selection of cases for surgery was done.

 The camp started on 10.02.07 at 11am by lighting of the lamp by Sri Sriramulu, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Development, Sri Janardhana Reddy, MLC of Karnataka state and ENT doctors of SAHI. Next day the  camp closed with a function headed by Sri Karunakar Reddy MP & Mr Devanand Superintendent of VIMS. Dignitaries distributed 82 hearing aids to needy patients at the camp.

Felicitation of CI Team , Hyderabad.

SAHI felicitated the Cochlear Implant team of Apollo Hospital on completion of 50 cases of Cochlear Implant surgery on 18th Feb 2007 at Apollo Hospital Lawns. Function was attended by Smt. Vasudha Mishra, Secretary to Govt. as a chief guest and Mr. Janardhna Reddy, MLC of Karnataka as guest of honor, Ms. Jhansi and Ms. Smita interacted with potential implantees and Implantees. Mr. Janardhana Reddy donated a cheque of Rs. 10 lakhs to SAHI under ‘Gift a Ear’ project. Smt. Vasudha Mishra informed that the government would be giving assistance of 2 lakhs from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for each Cochlear Implant surgery. Function ended with vote of thanks from PIKA medicals who sponsored the program.

Camp at Jammala Madugu, Kadapa Dist.

On behalf of the ‘Devagudi Shankara Reddy Subbarami Reddy’ Memorial Trust  Sri. Adi Narayana Reddy, MLA of Jammalamadugu invited SAHI to participate in the Mega Multi Super Specialty Camp at Govt. Junior College for Girls.

Camp at Mallapuram Nalgonda (Dist)

SAHI Organised camp a on 17th Jun 2007 in collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samiti, Uppal branch in Gram Panchayat School at Mallapuram, Yadagirigutta (Mand), Nalgonda (Dist).

5 Cases for Surgery are referred to SAHI, Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad for further evaluation& treatment.

Camp at Nawabpet Mahabubnagar dist

SAHI conducted the camp in association with Disabled Welfare Office, DRDA (IKP) and Mandal Mahila Samakyha, Nawabpet on 15 Jul 2007 at ZPH School, Nawabpet, Mahabubnagar dist. as part of making ‘Deaf Free’ mandal.

SAHI team screened 137 patients for various hearing problems. They conducted 117 Audiological evaluations. Patients for surgery were given necessary instructions to reach Apollo Health City after completion of surgical profile tests. Disabled Welfare department issued Medical disability certificates and bus passes at the camp for the eligible patients.
